Sowdamman Charitable Trust was found in the year 2006 by Dr. K. Vembanan, M.B.B.S.,M.S., Dr.K.Gokila Vembanan, M.B.B.S., D.G.O with the guidance of Padmapushan Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam. The society imparts professional education in nursing (B.Sc., (N), Post Basic B.Sc., (N), Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery & M.Sc., (N). The foremost priority of the trust is to impart subsidized quality education and to provide the rural poor with free essential health requirements.
